Insufficiently hardy here and not terribly exciting when I tried it. I have had better luck overwintering Daubentons, kales, leaf broccoli and non traditional brassicas. I did consider trying the cutting method in the spring. A lot of my dieback has to do with sudden exposure of tender growth to fluctuating temperatures in the spring thaw. Are you thinking of it mostly in terms of its perennial nature or for edible flower buds?

I dont know, i havent grown Nine star yet. I was thinking to a perennial improved broccoli, but the second article may push me on "just another" perennial leaf brassica. If i can get my hand on "Couve Poda do Algarve" i cant find it yet.
