I have Allium spp. growing in my yard, I believe they are A. canadense, though I won't know for awhile yet. I've collected seed heads but have yet to separate them and grow them out. It has become slightly invasive in certain areas in my yard, so I'd like to reign it in and replant into a garden bed or something. Any recommendations? I'd like to work on how to manage its growth in a controlled fashion.

PFAF talks about a variety of A. canadense (A. canadense mobilense) that doesn't produce bulbils and so is a less 'weedy' variety. Don't know where you would find it though. You could try removing the bulbils before they mature to limit the spread?

The "Fat Leaf Quattro F1" looks much like Allium lusitanicum (German Garlic) that is sold around here for decorative purposes. Even the description of the taste is reasonably fitting. I wish the description gave more of a hint of its provenance.
