So Carole Deppe thinks that Sea Kale could be enjoyed more for its flower heads than its leaves with a bit of breeding.
I'm interested by Crambe, for now i only plan to get two different cultivars and see. Any plans for Crambe ?

Collected a few seeds at the beach last autumn. I do like their broccolis, and they are a bit rare on my island. I know places where they dominate the beach, but too far away to be a useful knowledge. That's why I'll grow them in my garden.

I had a lot of failed attempts to grow sea kale from seed last year but did manage to get 3 small plants to grow...now I wait to see if they have survived the winter outside.

I wonder if Crambe cordifolia might also be a good candidate. I have two, one green and one tinged purple, that I'm waiting on to flower. They are lovely plants.
